Write a product brief people can act on

Create a short shared reference for the problem, users, constraints, and success signal.

Define the problem

Describe who is affected, what they are trying to do, and why the current experience fails. Include evidence and avoid prescribing a feature too early.

Bound the work

List the outcome, non-goals, constraints, open questions, and owner. Use plain language that design, engineering, and operations can challenge.

Choose a success signal

Name the behavior that should change after release and how you will observe it. Keep the brief current as decisions are made.
